Used vs. limit

Record what is used—not just what is available.

Help Scout reports activity rather than one byte-size storage total. Use conversations, customers, channels, and attachment scope.

Historical coverage

Storage size does not equal record age.

Standard plans can report on a defined recent period; higher plans may expose lifetime reporting. Record plan and range.

Troubleshooting

Common reasons your screen may differ.

The report looks low+

Confirm selected Inboxes, channels, and date range.

Lifetime reporting is unavailable+

Record the maximum available history without extrapolating.

Later-stage process

Prepare or export data only after authorization.

Help Scout reporting export

Reporting exports include conversation-level fields but generally not full conversation threads.

Permissions and safeguardsObtain report permission for every approved Inbox and define period, channels, and metadata-versus-content needs.
